George E Jeppesen Scholarship Details

This scholarship has been established by the W. Dean and Kenna Jeppesen Kimber Family to assist a Senior at Sky View High School in their pursuit of higher education in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.

This scholarship is in honor of George E. Jeppesen, who served the community of Smithfield as a town judge, area farmer, and businessman. He was the owner of George E Jeppesen Insurance Agency, one of the largest agencies in Utah, for over 30 years. He has been a proud sponsor of Sky View High School Athletics and is an avid Aggie supporter! George is an excellent example of good character, integrity, and dedicated service to his community and fellow men. It is his desire to assist a student to develop their business acumen and obtain a Bachelor of Business, Accounting, Finance, or Production Degree in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.

Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all required information.

Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.

Award

The recipient will be awarded $1,000 for their Freshman Year and $1,000, to be renewed annually, for 3 additional continuous years, or until a Bachelor’s degree is awarded, whichever comes first, for a total of $4,000, as long as the requirements are maintained of remaining in the Business School at USU with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Transcript will need to be validated each year.

This scholarship may be temporarily put on hold for an opportunity of service with preapproval. A letter must be sent stating details and plans for reinstatement to the email of: kimberscholarship@gmail.com.

• Copy of Transcript with Minimum 3.0 GPA - Must Display Name, School Name, Course, Grades

• Personal Statement

• Essay of Your Choice of Either:

  1. Describe the most difficult challenge you have faced and how did you handle it?

  2. Discuss which one of these traits you embody, in your opinion, and tell us why?
